Yeah there should be some sort of government sponsored cryptographic identity system :\
I hope some of the identity verification blockchain companies succeed for this sort of thing.
What we have now is laughably bad.
- abakker 8y agoGovernment and distributed ledger seem diametric. Either the government creates a centralized identity system and is the sole authority, or, a distributed system is used to grant identity numbers. Half measures between seem more problematic. Personally, I’m fine with the government being the single source of truth for that stuff, it is kind of their raison d'être.
