A lot of pubs are very close to residential addresses, so the house next door gets Sky and runs a cable through to the pub.
- gsnedders 8y agoPlenty of older pubs had/have landlords living on the premises; a residential license is perfectly justifiable provided it's only for their personal use.
- dylan604 8y ago"Hey, why are all of these people in my house watching this game? I never noticed because I was so into the action." Not really sure that would fly.
- shawnz 8y agoRight, but rather than going in to the pub and looking at the watermark, why not just check if that pub pays for the proper service by looking up their address in the customer files?
- cortesoft 8y agoRight, but an inspector visiting would just see that the pub doesn't pay for a subscription and yet they are showing the game. You don't need to check anything else.
