MGRS doesn't use a charset that doesn't have ambiguous charachters.
Just two. Might be minor, but it's not no advantage at all.
- markild 8y agoCouldn't you "kinda" achieve the same with MGRS? I've seen a few maps where the first page states what grid zone and 100,000-meter zone the map is in (for the honolulu-example, "Honolulu" would imply 4QFJ).
