This is really beautiful. And it even made me think about how sad it is to know nothing about so many small, "unimportant" countries. So I bookmarked it, and thanks. Also thank you for making something that is not yet another app that didn't have to be one. Making a mobile friendly site that looks great on desktop is certainly possible, and that's the side we should err on IMO.
