I've also noticed clickbait links to spammy external websites in the main feed.

  Yes, they introduced that "feature" this year. Like the new "spaces" which seem to have replaced the interests/topics users can select but actually don't work as a replacement because they seem more like Facebook groups where you can post random stuff and questions related to a topic. This combined with the horrible feed made me quit recently.
