Pretty sure PWM has nothing to do with cheap LED Christmas lights, beyond the basic "periodic wave resulting in flickering" idea.
- jcims 8y agoYeah it's probably an abuse of the term, but the effect is similar.
- Tharkun 8y agoMany xmas lights flicker, even when they're not in blinking mode. With the really crappy ones it's often noticeable just by looking at them. With some of the slightly less crappy ones, it's easier to notice when looking at them out of the corner of your eye.
