I know they sound really cool. I’m saying that it’s illogical to do so in the real world. Centralization is almost always cheaper, faster, and stronger.

- Nasrudith 8y agoThey still have a place as a 'competitor of last resort' to force reasonability on centralized powers. They would essentially do to power what satellite dishes did to cable - and that was just another centralized power! Sure satellite dishes are worse in latency and cost than running a cable but if the cable gets too unreasonable in comparison you can tell them to get bent and switch to satellite.
