Fair point. However one could argue that symbolic AI is a harder problem, perhaps awaiting a theoretical breakthrough. And that the pace of progress in this area has slowed at least in part due to ML hype sucking all the air out of the room (along with the best talent).
- p1esk 8y agoalong with the best talent "Best talent" can decide for themselves what they should work on. As long as they produce results, no one cares how they do it.
