The opposite happened to a colleague of mine. He got rejected by a company ("Not enough experience" was the reason given). Then, 7 months later, not only did he get accepted to the very same company, it was at 2x the asking price from before. It really goes to show that the hiring pipeline can get pretty schizophrenic sometimes.
