Stripping everything away, the basic question is how they will make money. Raise prices? They have local competition pretty much everywhere, there’s no moat around the rideshare business. Food delivery? Maybe, but will that be enough to justify their valuation?
- mrobins 8y agoAutonomous trucking is the only thing they're currently working on that I can see being a game changer. Everything else is a highly-competitive, marginal cost business with no moat.
- draw_down 8y agoYeah. The problem for them is that doesn't exactly seem like what you'd call a "business" at the moment, more like "a thing that could maybe happen soon, or maybe not so soon".
