- improbable22 8y agoAnd the great thing about this system is that it does not inform you beforehand. You cannot check whether your paper will pass, you submit, and then when v1 appears online, it is marked as "having substantial text overlap with works by other authors" etc, with links. You cannot remove this version. It will also flag overlap with your own works, but obviously it's not exactly a huge stain on your reputation if your thesis seems to borrow some paragraphs from your own papers.
