Or, perhaps it's just that moderates that prefer smaller government with less taxes live in Nashville. I moved from SF to Nashville and was not convinced the transportation plan would be utilized and with the increase in already high sales tax (which by the way is a tax on the poorest) firmly voted against it.
- magduf 8y agoThe sales tax in Tennessee is high because there isn't an income tax. You need to fix that, as that's the real root problem there.
- nodesocket 8y agoI don't think we are going to agree on this, but no state income tax is one of the reasons I decided on Tennessee. I suspect we have vastly different political views in terms of taxation.
