One thing, while "minor", is that with higher dpi you get a lot less aliasing issues. With sufficiently high dpi (I've read somewhere around 800), you don't get aliasing anymore. Is that worth the bandwidth? No, of course.
- aidenn0 8y agoYes, sufficiently high DPI corrects for bad mastering. If they low-pass (i.e. blur) the source before sampling then there are no aliasing artifacts.
