I remember sitting a bit up front in a theatre and thinking “I can see the pixels”. And worse it was slightly out of focuse (maybe intentionally to hide them).
From that day on every time I see a 4K film in theatres the low resolution bugs me. 8K should get us much closer to the old 35mm experience.
- kakarot 8y agoI hate it so much. Not only is the resolution totally shot now that we have fully digital projection systems, but the compression artifacts in some movies I've been to are worse than if I had just pirated the damn thing at home.
