This just makes me think a primary design goal when writing software is to Optimise for Deletion.
Everybody says that they emphasise ongoing maintenance when writing code, but the best way to take that to extremes is to optimise the ability to remove (and replace) code en masse.
- Ace17 8y agoThis looks somewhat similar to good old modularity and decoupling. Does "optimize for deletion" differ in some way from that?
