You can conveniently audit the source code of (the current version of) an add-on by installing the “Extension source viewer” add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/crxviewer/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/crxviewer/) and then visiting the page of the add-on to inspect. I haven’t read through all the code of Google Container, but it only has 31 lines of JSON and 422 lines of JavaScript – smaller than most add-ons.
