- nabla9 8y ago> online voting I hope they realize their error. Online voting or voting from home by other means undermines the freedom to vote. It opens avenues to vote buying and group pressure and all kinds of shenanigans. All the convince or increased voting arguments should be weighed against current and historical evidence of how voting actually works. For example, women from traditional family structures will lose their ability to cast an independent vote at once. Even here in Finland where women received the right to vote very early (second after NZ) it's very common for electoral officials to see old sweet couple coming in and the man trying to check the woman's vote and throwing a angry hizzy fit when it's not allowed. Being alone in the voting box is essential part of voting in democracy.
- mtgx 8y agoI thought the Democrats wanted elections to be less hackable. Did that change now that they (partially) won?
