- soundwave106 8y agoAgreed, simply "please use the unaccented letter" would have been fine instructions. Accented letters are pretty "normal" in many languages.
- occamrazor 8y agoAccented letters are not the only issue. Apart from the already mentioned apostrophes and hyphens, there are consonants with diacritics such as ç, č and ñ, or cases where substituting an “accented” letter with the corresponding unaccented one is not appropriate (e.g. ä in German is transcribed as ae in ASCII).
