At a traditional indian wedding, you don't invite people. You tell your aunts and uncles and friends, and they tell their aunts and uncles and friends, and they tell theirs, etc, until you end up with 800 people at your wedding.
- sizzle 8y agoAt $25-50+ a head for food and alcohol at reception alone, that is a huge number unless you come from wealth... However I think I read somewhere the average cost of South Asian wedding is $100-150k in California. Ouch.

- Spivak 8y agoYou can definitely find good Indian catering for much cheaper per plate but yeah if you're having 800 people you're probably from money.
