tl;dr: I just bought a $800 pen.
- noonespecial 16y agoI'm quite sure that the author did not in fact buy an $800 pen. Its a parody of an earlier review of the new Air, suggesting that its a Macbook killer. The tech community is notably wary of "X" killers. The snark is timely and funny. The pen got caught up in the action because its such a useless bauble of wealth signaling, it practically begs to be made fun of.
