I have a similar story. I have not been in touch with my dad in the Philippines for almost 20 years. We lost contact when my mom, brother and I moved and we didn't have telephones back then. Last year, my half-sister found my brother and me on Facebook. It was good to learn to that my dad is still alive and got to talk to him after all these years.
