I think people also forget that there's a decent amount of fortran in numpy. I'm pretty sure they are the originators of f2py as well

- nine_k 8y ago+1. It is easy to see if you decide to build it from source. Python is great as a glue. Fortran is great at numeric things (better than C, guaranteed no aliasing allows for more optimizations).
