  Except this is an actually helpful diagram that points you towards other solutions depending on what benefits you think a blockchain might give you, instead of an (unhelpful) outright dismissal.

  Not really, this seems like an actionable heuristic that gives actual alternatives and a concrete, realistic case where a blockchain might help.

  If you are trying to build a currency or have a timestamp system, the answer is yes. This is why the phrase Bitcoin not Blockchain has been floating around.
