This is fine. Guessing gender based on things like name is terribly error prone. Imagine if you have a name like Taylor. But I’m sure everyone who wants to be annoyed by this will find a way to be annoyed.
- Bartweiss 8y agoNow that you point it out, I'd imagine that aside from any bias pronoun choice would also be one of the least accurate suggestions offered. When somebody writes "my cousin is in town, do you want to meet", it's basically impossible to do better than a coinflip chance - and that's if offering a pronoun next was even correct. So it's no real surprise that they didn't spend a bunch of effort on debiasing a feature that would still be wrong if they succeed.
