The cost of the operating system + ecosystem needed to compile is so enormous, it increases income inequality.
A low income person is excluded from developing for Apple. Established, middle-upper class and corporations are the only people that can afford to develop for Apple. Apple is effectively widening the gap between rich and poor.
- jermaustin1 8y agoI kind of agree with this in theory, but with services like Mac in Cloud and Mac Stadium, you can learn/develop for tens of dollars a month, and cancel your mac for extended down time.
