I think part of Controller should be in the Model, because I often found business logic is highly coupled with the data. I've more often used the Model-View pattern, where the business logic was inside the Model. What I have decoupled from the above is State controllers though; State controllers have to do with the application itself, they have nothing to do with the data or the presentation of them.
