- desdiv 8y ago"Muslim homes" is quite a nice sounding euphemism for what I would consider concentration camps.
- jacobush 8y agoThey have those camps too, but this is about having a political snitch move into your regular home to note and report any non-communist or muslim behavior your family might exhibit. If you look suspicious, you get sent to camp, I guess. All-around mix of Soviet, Nazi and Orwell implemented with modern tech.

So any belief, even ones that could be considered healthy, that differs from the state will be punished with re-education at the whims of arbitrary individuals. Sounds like they're replaying the Cultural Revolution and that didn't end well. There's no way all this infrastructure and planning will be let go of; it'll take on a life of its own because that's human nature. Once they're done turning on the Uighurs, who will they turn on next?
