This is a great summary of the zeitgeist of today's Silicon Valley and also totally wrong. You can do great engineering and build a successful company from it with out settling for low hanging fruit but, it requires a longer than average attention span, not needing to make your investors happy by the end of the quarter and a marketing plan.
- hnuser355 8y agoYeah, I thought it’s known that many successful products are not really engineering based
- jcoffland 8y agoYeah, but they aren't tech companies. Lot's of other roles are needed for a successful company, legal, marketing, personnel, management, etc. but the value of a tech company is created by engineering.
