Holy shit. I am so sorry to hear all this. I too have colitis and had to have a stomach surgery earlier this year.
My experience was not nearly as bad but it took a toll my relationship as well. I'm now single and all my health problems certainly didn't help any.
Did you find any support? A group or a therapist?
- erickj 8y agoI've been speaking with a therapist for a bit over a year now. It has helped quite a bit, but I've realized that it's mostly helped me get to a better place with accepting that it's OK that I'm not 100%. But it still doesn't help so much with feeling isolated
