All fruit humans eat nowadays is far, far different from anything available in nature before we started to intervene (with perhaps a few exceptions for berries, which are still seasonal anyway).
Also, aside from artificial selection, there is also the effect of the overabundance of carbon dioxide in the air, which causes plants to increase their production of carbohydrate[0] compared to aminoacids (as nitrogen is limited).
