As someone living in Spain i have been without the Google News service for several years now and personally i don't mind at all. I just consume less news, and when there is something important its just one search away (or just going directly to one of the local papers website).
- sharpneli 8y agoDoesn’t this validate Googles point. You are visiting less thus bringing the news sites less page views and thus less ad income.
- mike22223333 8y agoNo. This means less click bait. Ad revenue is a zero sum game mostly. The shit news site are no longer able to clickbait in Google news. More share of money goes to publishers despite less traffic. Clicbaiters lose.
- dmortin 8y agoPeople keep searching for news with Google, the clickbait is still there for google searches.
