I don't understand the logic behind the 3rd jeopardy. Was it that he didn't show remorse? So the lawyer accused Xu made a mockery of the court and the Judge just went with it? While reading the 3rd part, I kept thinking "brexit logic" which I have come to associate with British thinking that seems too idealistic to be actually implementable. And yet apparently the entire British judicial system allows it.
