My gaming PC is in the attic, but sometimes it can be nice to play something on the TV in the living room, or maybe even the one in the bedroom. Instead of having to move the PC in some manner, the Steam Link instead streams the game over my LAN. It's a gaming-focused thin client. The only limitation is that it's limited to 1080p.
