- r00fus 8y agoAs much as other people didn't like it I really loved Fake Steve Jobs.
- pjbk 8y agoJust like the show, many times the fake Steve was more real than the real Steve, and spot on how some things eventually unfolded. Dan is an excellent journalist and a candid visionary. Finished Lab Rats last week, and contrary to Disrupted which was a very enjoyable modern age tragicomedy-autobiography, it hit home very bad and left me with a sense of despair. IMHO it should be an obligatory reading for everyone in tech these days.
- gcmac 8y agoAlso worth reading his book "Disrupted" - the book is every bit as funny and relevant as Silicon Valley

- Zanni 8y agoI loved Dan Lyons fake Steve Job columns, but Disrupted didn't work for me at all. He presented himself as the lone adult in a sea of misfit children, but came across as a clueless and bitter crank. The same (admittedly keen) observations about the corporate culture would have gone down so much better (for me) if he hadn't tried to crammed every page with so much smug superiority.
