- behavingbadly 8y agoHere is one (of many examples.) Facebook COO Sandberg hires a right-wing firm to spread rumors and shift blame onto George Soros. This isnt just bad behavior -- this is abhorrent. George Soros gets bears brunt of anti-semitism (recall just weeks ago a rightist sent him a bomb due to propaganda blaming him for literally everything.) https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/14/technology/facebook-data-russia-election-racism.html https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/14/technology/facebook-data-... Delay, Deny and Deflect: How Facebook’s Leaders Fought Through Crisis Ms. Sandberg has overseen an aggressive lobbying campaign to combat Facebook’s critics, shift public anger toward rival companies and ward off damaging regulation. Facebook employed a Republican opposition-research firm to discredit activist protesters, in part by linking them to the liberal financier George Soros. It also tapped its business relationships, lobbying a Jewish civil rights group to cast some criticism of the company as anti-Semitic.
