Such rubbish. For starters children are not given hormones. At least not in the US, Canada, or Britain. They socially transition, change their name, change their clothing, etc. If they are lucky a doctor will consent to giving them hormone blockers. This generally takes years and multiple doctor and psychologist visits. Hormone blockers are largely safe with few minor long term consequences (lowered bone density if taken for too long). Forcing trans individuals into going through the wrong puberty is abuse in and of itself. It causes them to have to spend tens of thousands on surgeries, it forces immense pain, it forces them to endure massive unessecary changes to their bodies. Now as far as self I’d goes these arguments have been trotted out repeatedly without any proof. The U.K. has essentially had self id (except for taxes) for the last 14 years. There has been to my knowledge one case of abuse. This was enabled by the prison system not doing due diligence. Ireland and many other countries have had full self id for years with no issues.
