- yjftsjthsd-h 8y agoI mean, that does make sense. Also lowers the learning curve if it's more than superficial.
- TheRealPomax 8y agoOnly if you squint and ignore the rest of the sentence? It's an alternative to both macos and windows for people who not just not care about what their OS is, but have better things to do with their life than even bother to know what OS they run. As long as it's a pleasant, stable, consistent UI, and lets them do "the things they want to do" rather than "install the apps they need to do the things they want to do". And yeah, that means if at any point you might go "but it doesn't have X and that's okay, you can download the source and run make" then you're already way beyond who this OS is for. It's supposed to be "as dumb" as MacOS with the app store, or Windows with the windows store.
- lupinglade 8y agoBut macOS is exactly that already?
- TheRealPomax 8y agoIt's also prohibitively expensive due to the hardware you need to legally own before you can even use it, and is _only_ supported for that hardware instead of allowing you to use whatever you can afford?
