Jeff Bezos tells employees 'one day Amazon will fail'
- Udik 8y ago“If we start to focus on ourselves instead of focusing on our customers, that will be the beginning of the end,” Is that a jab at Google, with all their constant killing of services that were used and loved, and their drama about internal policies and politics?
- CoolestBeans 8y agoNah, I think this is just typical Amazon corp speak. It's a phrase often parroted within Amazon that companies that run with "customer obsessed" mentality succeed the most. And that while following competitors works it isn't as successful. Another example of Bezos saying basically the same thing is in a previous all-hands when someone asked about "Day 2".
- nemothekid 8y agoBeing "customer obsessed" is practically Amazon's ethos. I think similar language was used in Amazon's IPO.
