"The next wave of medical advancement may require us to give up some privacy. It has worked in the past"
Of course. But companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple (yes, I'm including Apple), and others should be a mile from that data. Google and Facebook particularly are ill equipped, from a moral and focus perspective, to have anything to do with this industry.
