I agree with everything he said, as long as he also applies the notion to defense spending, providing financial security for the elderly (either as Social Security or as pensions), and subsidizing liquidity in the financial markets (via debt). If these are ignored (as they almost always are by self-anointed 'fiscal conservatives'), then it's a bogus argument. If they're not ignored, then I'm on board for the discussion.
