I have been working hard on debunking belief-systems that are in science itself and in its communities.
A lot of science is based on procedures and theories that automatically create certain results. As long people do not see this, it makes no sense comparing one belief-system versus another.
- adamrezich 8y agoSince scientific consensus has replaced religion for many people, we're long overdue for Luthers and Calvins to question it (and I say this as a Catholic). It's intuitive that "the word of God" can and historically has been perverted by human beings who have been corrupted by power, it should follow that the same is true for "settled science." Even if you're not religious, historical religion is an excellent demonstration of the fallibility of man, why would scientific consensus be any different?
