Honestly its less than <30 minutes per week for manual updating. I usually get notifications by mail if I need to update things (e.g. nextcloud, freenas, pfsense), and I have it running on Debian for auto update. I have had nextcloud break a couple of times on a major update, and that did get annoying. It did take me quite a bit of time to set up though, and understand what I was doing. I would be incredibly hesitant to run what was in the link, as I have no understanding of how it works, security issues, etc.
