Evolution doesn't happen by choice. It's just survival of the fittest. Where "fitness" here is to not get shot by people. If that is achieved by having smaller or no tusks, then so be it.

- Double_a_92 8y agoYes, they are "fitter" if they don't have tusks. What if there was some bacteria which infected the tusks which lead to death somehow... Would that not count as evolution?
