I feel like Quillette is what The Weekly Standard would be like in a world where evangelical Christianity, AM talk Radio and Fox News never grabbed hold of the conservative psyche. Also I agree with the OP: the vast majority of its takes wouldn’t be out of place in mainstream conservative political media, but they’re a bit more highbrow and less clickbaity, and have less of a “triggering the libs” vibe to have mainstream penetration. (Disclaimer: I’m a lefty)
