Seriously, just because they lived different ways of life with different set of problems doesnt meant they're unstable. Would you characterize America as unstable today when the country is divided over so man different lines? If no, why are those countries deemed unstable that only America can fix them? If yes, why should other countries "invade" America to bring stability? Why should America be the decider of other countries stability?
