My example was about the iPhone XS Max. Can you tell me with a straight face that Apple’s top model has a lower gross margin than their average? Also, other producers can make perfectly comparable products at much lower price points. Add to that Apple’s logistics and supplier influence prowess and there’s no way Apple is paying more than smaller manufacturers for comparable hardware.
