Donating for a lunch with Madonna is one thing -- it's clear that you just want to bask in her celebrity and that you don't want any business relationship with her. When it's framed as getting your ideas in front of an investor, it's disingenuous to pretend that someone who can't get their ideas in front of you another way is going to have any luck with pay-for-play.
