The only thing "histrionic" & "hysterical" here is your normalization of Apple's penchant for trampling on freedoms to inflate their bottom line.
How fast is your 2 year old iPhone BTW, with the "performance" throttling feature Apple added to it's OS, that resulted in convictions and fines in Europe? Planned obsolescence is the most evil thing any company can resort to, to force sell new devices.
