- chiefalchemist 8y agoYes and no. In a sense, it is neither good nor bad. It's simply information. Read: This is what you need to prepare for. It makes sense, and I would venture to say it impacts the expected lifespan of a species. That is, to presume the DNA from X (e.g., in humans 25 - 35 yrs) ago is just as worthy in the current environment, could be a false if not dangerous assumption. Supplementing DNA with more up to date information helps the species to survive.
