Making information transparent is only one step. The next step is the simplification needed to make the system understandable by people who work all day long, have kids, entertainment, etc. All the administrative forms, the accounting rules, the history of debt of a country, the geopolitical situation are all difficult to fully grasp if you don't spend full time on it. How could anyone make "informed" decision ? I agree the first step is to make the system more transparent, maybe it will surface the almost insane complexity to more people. Also, more transparency, but not at the expense of sacrificing fairness and privacy
